Ruby's on the Lake

John had to work on Saturday, but we went to a (really) late lunch at Ruby's and a walk around the lake.

Sienna's first taste of french fry. She didn't like it. (This reminds me of Aaron giving Lily a french fry to chew on and Kristen being mad about it. I think Lily was 4 months.)

Update: A friend posted this on my Facebook wall after watching Dalton.

rachael: mom, i think she's hungry (moves an animal cracker toward sienna's face)
me: oh, she can't have that. babies only drink milk.
dalton: my dad gave her a french fry!

 BUSTED.

The lake was swarming with scantily clad girls carrying their heels and taking pre-formal pictures.

1-2-3: Bumbo

The arrival of the Bumbo seat I ordered for Sienna has prompted much fun from the older kids (Sienna is still a little too small).  I remember wedging Kyli's bum into this thing, so I can't believe Maggie and Dalton fit in it. Maybe it's bigger now?

Stagecoach Trail (Laguna Coast Wilderness Park)

We are so lucky that our kids like hiking.  Maggie led the way, though we had to tell her to turn back.  Kids forget that you have to plan energy to walk back to the car, too. I did have to carry Dalton a little on the way back.

This hike was actually a bit challenging, at least the part we did. Lots of switchbacks up the hill, then we turned around and came back after we had all the good views and the sun started disappearing.

"There's India!"

California Adventures

These pictures from our trip to California Adventure last Saturday go along with the Worst Diaper Ever story.

My first time on Radiator Springs Racers.

Practicing for Yosemite.

Higher, Higher!

Lunch at Daddy's Work

The other side of the view we often see from the 405. Dalton woke up crying that Daddy was at work for the 1,000th time, so we took Cafe Rio and met him for lunch.

Watching airplanes land.

MLK at the Beach

Seriously, it was more like Memorial Day. We had an awesome time at the beach with lots of friends from church on Monday.

Can you see Sienna taking a nap? She's smack in the middle in a white blanket and someone else's arms (yay!)

There were 22 little girls and 4 little boys, but Dalton made friends with the one boy his age and his football.

1-2-3: Two Months

Maggie and Sienna have the same little nose and mouth. But Sienna outgrew the sleeper Maggie is wearing a month ago.

2 Months

Pre-Script: I updated the About Us page, if you're interested.
This picture reminds me of one from 2 1/2 weeks.

Before she learned how to smile!

The kids call sneezing "bless you" like a verb.  "She bless you-ed three times!"

Someone is overstimulated, which isn't hard when you're the youngest.

Caution, Baby

I took these pictures of my darling baby girl on Sunday before church.

Here's what was really happening.

And, because how many times has Mommy said, "don't step on the baby!"? Dalton added a traffic cone.

(I tried to get a better picture of Sienna, but she was just too snuggled.)

January Fun

Wow, we've done lots of fun things already this month.

Maggie drew this adorable Argentinosaurus.

Chuck-e-Cheese with their friend Matthew.

The kids started gymnastics classes.

Watching the Southern California half-marathon runners.

Hiking in Bommer Canyon.

Movie night! I mentioned popcorn and Dalton got out the sleeping bag and Maggie picked the same movie we watched on New Year's Eve. A fun tradition, if we don't have to watch the same movie every week.

Just walking home from school. I'm trying to get more exercise.

No idea.

We ran into some friends at Disneyland.  Eating dinner at the Mad T Party.

And watching the Play Parade.
